Hebrews was the last of Paul's letters and we now return to the ministry of Peter. 1 and 2 Peter were written to the churches of Asia Minor just before his execution under the Roman Emperor Nero. His purpose was to encourage these believers to live out their salvation even amidst all the persecution Christians were experiencing at that time in history.
