Intro to Jeremiah

Jeremiah prophesied of the same impending doom that Isaiah had, focusing more on the reasons for the judgement than the judgement itself. He also wrote Lamentations and is known as the weeping prophet because of his sorrowful tone. But it was another prophet, a woman, who delivered the most interesting portion of prophecy in today's reading. Huldah predicted that none of the predicted terror would fall upon Israel during Josiah's lifetime, because he was such a godly king.

Tomorrow's reading: 2 Kings 23:1-28, 2Chron. 34:29-35:19, Nahum 1-3:19
