More Proverbs

As much as I like Proverbs, I can't find much to comment on. I do love that they are succinct and simple and for that reason would make great daily readings for my boys. Just one verse a day could provide lots of discussion about good character, moral living, etc. Completing the entire Bible will be a big accomplishment and we are officially half way there! Keep at it...

Tomorrow's reading: Proverbs 30-31

  1. At our summer camp this year (I work as a child care director at a local church), we have an "ABC" Proverbs booklet that has one Proverbs verse per page arranged in alphabetical order---a verse that starts with "a" then one that starts with "b", etc. We often take a few minutes right after lunch to go over a verse with our school-aged kids and have some application-oriented talk about it. It's been a great addition to the summer. Also, when our boys were little, we used a book with them (I believe its title was Proverbs for Kids from The Book) which grouped proverbs together around a common theme and had bright, colorful illustrations for the kids.
