Hosea Part 2

I am combining the blog for June 26 and 27 because it is one continuous theme running throughout. The remaining chapters of Hosea focus not on his marriage but more specifically on Israel's infidelity. You can really hear the Lord's pain in today's reading. Hosea recounts all the ways that God had provided for Israel since the time of Jacob and goes on to list Israel's betrayal, in the form of idols, kings, and now the Assyrian army they looked to for protection. The book of Hosea ends with a call to repentance for Israel; one that would be ignored.

    I'm still here, although I tend to find myself doing "mass readings" of 4-5 days at a time, and then checking up in here after. Right now I am only 2 days behind! Thanks Melissa!

    I'm still here! I'm with Elaine though, I tend to read group readings of 2-5 days and then checking your blog. As of today, I am one day ahead! Woo Hoo! I told my kids I am almost halfway through the bible and my youngest said "That's a big book!"

    thank you, thank you, thank you.... i'm hear and so thankful for you.... i did get a couple days behind on reading your post, but am caught up now.... so no, i didn't catch that you were ahead, because i was behind..
    :-)...I appreciate you so much and don't see how i could understand even a little of the first half of the year without your wisdom and insight.
